CHAMONIX MONT-BLANC!

Situated at the foot of Mont-Blanc, Europe’s highest summit at 4807m, in exceptional natural surroundings which have been registered on the world heritage lists, this is one of the world’s most visited natural sites. At the foot of the glaciers which cascade from the summit of Mont-Blanc, you will discover the prestigious Chamonix valley with its pinnacles of ice and rock standing out against the blue skies of the Alps. Tens of summits of a range that is bewitching yet accessible for all.

A Mecca for skiers, winter pleasures await both beginners or the most demanding of champions. Chamonix, with its high performance lift system, its vast ski areas close both to Italy and Switzerland and the fabulous Vallee Blanche - longest glacial ski run in the world - is ideal for skiers and non-skiers. Chamonix offers the worlds greatest lift-served vertical drop and high altitude skiing (90% of the ski areas are above 2000m) and there are up to 600 km of trails available. Chamonix is the guardian of the most magnificent panorama in the Alps, the charm and the attraction of this great mountain township, birthplace of alpine history, is its capacity to welcome French and foreign visitors whilst retaining an intense local life-style. Skiing started in Cham’Ski more than a hundred years ago and hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924.
