What is MTS?
"More Than Ski" (MTS) is a members-only,
opt-in
email list
exclusively for the use of current Columbia Ski Club members.
The main use of the MTS list is to alert other members about a near-term event that won't make the newsletter
and might not make it to the web site in time. It was created for spur-of-the-moment events and
to broadcast events of interest to the general membership.
No one is added to MTS automatically! You have to
opt-in to be added.
This ensures that only people who tell us they want to receive these emails will get them.
The list size changes, but there are typically around 200 people on the list. Frequency of emails
varies considerably, but typically there are approximately 20-40 emails per week.
Quick Start
- New MTS address to send to: csc-mts@eccnet.com (as of 1/12/09)
- To post a message to all the list members, send email to:
csc-mts@eccnet.com (Only list members can post.)
- Update your Address Book with the new address in the above line. In other words, replace the old LIST.ColumbiaSkiClub.org address with the new one.

How Can You Join the List?
To protect you from spammers, only current CSC members are permitted to post to MTS.
(Mail from non-list-members is rejected automagically. Auto-subscribe attempts are also blocked.)
Before you can be added to MTS, our web team needs to first verify your membership. Therefore, you must provide your full name and email via
this form. This is the only way to be added; do not contact the web team until you've entered info into
the form.
Form responses are stored in a spreadsheet that is reconciled with our database.
You'll be added within a week, or possibly sooner if your name is on the most recent monthly membership list from our Database Chair. If you don't receive an auto-generated subscription notification within 7 days,
contact the web team telling us you filled out the form and are a current member.
