Are you a skier who likes a challenge? Maybe you’re ready to start skiing at a progressively higher ability level. If so, the Columbia Race Team (CRT) may be for you!
Our ski team is made of a growing number of alpine
enthusiasts of all ages who enjoy participating in competition and desire to improve their overall skiing.

CRT athletes represent the Columbia Ski Club (CSC) in various local and regional alpine ski races. Racers also enjoy participating in National Standard Race (NASTAR) events as well.

CRT is a non-professional athletic team of various ability levels from beginner to more advanced ski racers. Some members participate in alpine ski race training available at various times to develop and improve strength and technique. This includes off-season dryland/inline skate training. Every December, some CRT members travel to attend a special week of training sessions. When there is enough interest, a trip to summer ski camp may be planned as well.

So, if you’re ready for a new dimension of skill and fun in your skiing, join us! Beginner racers are welcome. All skiers should be comfortable with intermediate level alpine terrain or better. Participation in race training is highly recommended, especially to beginner racers.
CRT is currently looking for male and female ski racers of all ages, including kids, teenagers, collegiates, and adults up to seniors. Are you up for great skiing, fun competition, and the chance to meet others with similar ability? Be sure to contact our team captain, Ted Miksinski, III online at racing02@ColumbiaSkiClub.org or call our racing chairperson, Linda Bain at (301) 384-0688.
