(last revised: Jan. 2001).

At the April 2000 general meeting, the Columbia Ski Club acknowledged those dedicated members who have given their time, energy, and commitment to making the Club work so well for all of us during the 1999 - 2000 season. This year the Awards committee gave out the most awards ever, due in part to the increased Club membership, as well as the ever-increasing number of members who are taking more active roles in shaping the Club and its activities.

The following members were recognized for their contributions this past year:

All Star Awards - Presented to members who provide outstanding leadership, playing a key role in CSC activities. This year, the committee decided to award three individual All Star Awards to the three outstanding members who share a common theme - the Club's activities. Bob McCune won for his outstanding leadership as Activities Chair, coordinating, scheduling and publicizing all of the social activities. Benita Koller won for her dedication to bringing new and exciting activities and experiences into the Club for the enjoyment of all members. And, Sue Muller won for her highly active role in keeping the activities calendar full with fun things to do, and for attracting great interest and participation within the Club.

Pioneer Award - (This was a surprise announcement made by former Board member Joyce Wronka.) To Kevin Smith, for providing vision and direction for the Club by running the CSC Awards program for four years, for developing and coordinating the CSC license plates, and for running various Club activities.

Marty Womack Awards - To Gary Battel and Joanne Schrodel for their unsung dedication to the Club. Gary was honored for his outstanding contribution and hard work as Club Treasurer, and Joanne was honored for her exceptional work in developing professional quality guides for our ski trip leaders.

President's Award - Last year's President, Meryl Sonon, honored Bill Eskew with the President's Award for his outstanding support to Meryl and the Club this past year.

Additionally, the CSC Board honored Dan Bobowitz with a plaque for his dedication in managing the clean-up of the Club's adopted road in Columbia.

CSC "Mogie" Awards were also presented to the following individuals for their noteworthy contributions to the Club over the past year - Linda Bain and Ted Miksinski (Race Team), Tim Kwei (Membership), Gary Prestianni (Activities), Ken Sall and Kathy Hinman (CSC Website), Joyce Wronka (Socials), Lynne Pusanik (Activities), and Ki von der Linden (Activities).

Congratulations to all of this year's recipients!
