Members,
May the forth be with you as you join Columbia Ski Club volunteers for our spring Adopt-a-Road trash pick-up on Saturday May 4th. Our designated roadway is Little Patuxent Pkwy, between Broken Land Pkwy and Cedar Lane. Meet at 9:00 AM in the 7-Eleven parking lot at 10730 Little Patuxent Pkwy. Bring work gloves, and we suggest a hat and sun screen. We provide safety vests, trash bags, grabbers and hoops to hold the bags open. Plan to walk and pick up trash for about 2 hours, then meet back at the starting point.
Afterwards, the trash pick-up group will go to the Bagel Bin at Wilde Lake Village Center for bagels, sandwiches, and coffee/juice/soda. The Ski Club pays for this brunch in appreciation for our efforts.
The total distance walked is about one mile - a nice way to spend a Saturday morning and to give back to our community.
The weather prediction has a chance for rain so look for another email if we need to reschedule.
Regards,
Pat D.
